No. The Big-8 allergens are: milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soybeans. We do not use any of these products in our beef and buffalo snacks. We are a totally allergen-free USDA plant.

Yes. The Ketogenic (Keto) diet is a very low-carb, high-fat diet that shares many similarities with the Atkins and other low-carb diets. It has been found to be beneficial for some people with Epilepsy and also for weight loss.

Yes. A Paleo diet typically includes lean meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. Our whole muscle Jerky is very lean. Our Beef Sticks, and Beef Protein Bites do have more healthy fat than our Jerky, but they are much leaner than many other beef sticks on the market.

While most  conventional beef and buffalo comes from cattle and bison that are fed growth hormones, we don’t feel the need to hurry Mother Nature along. We like our cattle and bison to grow naturally the old-fashioned way.

Most conventional cattle and bison are given antibiotics. According to government regulations, these antibiotics can be stopped four months before the cattle are processed and still be labeled “antibiotic-free.”  

That is why we are proud of our claim that our ranchers never, ever allow antibiotics.

In addition to not using any added hormones or antibiotics in our All Natural Beef and Buffalo, we believe in only using All Natural Ingredients for all our beef and buffalo snacks. Common wisdom suggests that MSG and sodium nitrite are necessary to make good jerky.

But we disagree.  We use celery juice powder and leave out the sodium nitrite and the MSG.

We know from experience that if you have tender, delicious beef and buffalo to begin with, you don’t need MSG as a flavor enhancer. You don’t need sodium nitrites or nitrates or anything artificial. “All Natural” tastes great!

Some beef and buffalo snack companies claim much higher protein counts for their products, but if you read the label you will see that many of them add soy to their products. Since we are an allergen-free plant, we don’t use soy. Our protein is 100% beef protein.

The protein count in our All Natural beef and buffalo snack varies a little bit from product to product depending upon what other ingredients are used in the recipe. Here is a complete list for you to compare:

We only use three types of natural sweeteners: Honey, Raw Cane Sugar, or Pineapple Juice Concentrate. Our honey is locally sourced raw from Worland, Wyoming and is heated and strained before being added to our beef snack recipes.

When we say we have “All Natural” beef and buffalo, we mean it. The BRAVE Experience definition of 100% All Natural means: NO Added Hormones, NO Antibiotics, NO, MSG, NO Nitrites or Nitrates, NO Artificial Ingredients, Grass-fed, grain-finished.

The USDA defines “all natural” as merely “minimally processed-no artificial ingredients”—which is often confusing and misleading to consumers.

Needless to say, we prefer our definition of our All Natural Beef  & Buffalo Snacks.

The old adage, “you get what you pay for,” applies directly to the beef snacks you eat. There are four main reasons our beef and buffalo snacks are more expensive than our competitors:

1. We are 100% All Natural: It is more expensive to raise “All Natural” cattle and bison than to raise “Conventional” cattle and bison. Our ranchers who raise our All Natural cattle and bison don’t ever give their cattle or bison any added growth hormones or antibiotics. Ranchers who raise Conventional cattle and bison do use added growth hormones and/or antibiotics when they think it is necessary. The All-Natural beef and buffalo we use costs twice as much as conventional beef and buffalo that can be purchased on the open market.
2. We are Food Traceable: We know the name of every ranch from which each box of beef and buffalo comes. It takes extra time to keep these careful records and pass this information on to our customers who want source-verified food.
3. We Don’t Use Artificial Ingredients: Along with All Natural Beef and Buffalo, we only use All Natural Ingredients—nothing artificial! It is more expensive to buy Celery Juice Powder and Sea Salt to preserve our beef and buffalo snacks than to use nitrites or nitrates. It is more expensive to buy high quality spices than to artificially enhance the flavor with MSG.
4. We are a Craft Facility: Being a “craft”  facility means we make small batches of beef and buffalo snacks that are hand-cut and hand-packaged by our dedicated USDA plant employees who are happy to put in the time to bring you the most delicious All Natural beef and buffalo snacks on the market.
